Hello there! Home sweet home is the first thing that comes to mind right now, after three weeks and a half on the road. It was a fantastic holiday, though. I think that we learned a lot on the way. We also saw some truly fascinating places – from picturesque small German towns to some of the deadliest battlefields in Europe. In the tunnels of Reims, we tried some champagne. We met some old friends. It feels like we climbed endless hills to reach beautiful castles. We found some gems, such as Saarburg. The food was good, too.
All in all, I’d say that our road trip was everything that a road trip should be. All in all, we visited six countries. Three of these countries – the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and France – were new to me. One of the things I learned is that Germany is much prettier than I have thought it to be. And French macarons do taste yummy!
Home Sweet Home
We came home yesterday evening after spending a day at Jesper’s parents’ house. Little A seems to have recovered from the adventure. Although truth to be told, I don’t think she minded at all. She might be asking for more cuddles than normal, but that’s just nice.
I really did enjoy our time abroad, and I’m already looking forward to our next trip. However, it feels good to be home. Home sweet home! There were a lot of things that inspired me during our journey, and so much that I want to implement to my/our daily routines. Food, fitness, fashion are things that come to my mind. Also interior design. As we booked our accommodation through Airbnb, we saw a lot of interesting apartments and rooms. It’s not only fascinating to see how people live, but also to get some good tips. This will be a busy fall!
We won’t be making any long trips in the near future. However, there will be plenty of posts about–, so stay tuned! Last but not least, enjoy these photos from our road trip 2017.
home is where you get the best comfort…… road trips are amazing….. and yours was really a long one…..
