Weeks 5 and 6 – This Week We Talked About…

In weeks 5 and 6 we did not engage in so much talking on this blog. Why? We were busy exploring a very fascinating destination – the Gambia. Before the usual recap, let us wish you all a very happy Valentine’s Day. Fun fact: in Finland Valentine’s Day is more about celebrating friends and friendship than giving gifts to one’s romantic partner. So go ahead, grab your friends and tell them how important they are to you and what it is that makes them so lovely!

Weeks 5 and 6: Our Blog Posts

As any expat will know, some things will never be quite as good as at home. In week 5, I wrote about my Finnish treats, the typically Finnish items that I always buy when visiting my home country. You can read the post here >>

We have decided to create a few travel series on our blog. These series consist of several blog posts that belong to a certain destination. The current ones are the series about South America, Slovakia, the Åland Islands and the Gambia. For those of you interested in South America and the Åland, there will be posts coming very soon. If you want to catch up on things to do in Bratislava, take a look at this post about Bunker BS-8. The bunker is a good place to visit if you are looking for something that is off the beaten track.

The Gambia. Our journey there was awesome. You can read our introductory post about it here. If you’re planning a trip to this lovely African country, don’t miss our entry about the capital of the Gambia, Banjul.

Did you know that you can now find us on Instagram? You will find us @biveroseffect. Come and say hi! Please let us know if there is anything specific you would like us to write about as will. Tips and comments are always welcome.

All in all weeks 5 and 6 have been amazing, let’s hope that the spring will continue the same way. We also wish all our readers a fantastic week 7!

Happy Travels!
