Leaving Sweden by car, traveling anywhere in Europe, usually means traveling through Germany. Located there in the center of Europe it channels a lot of the traffic across the continent. It is easy to enter Autobahn, accelerate, and eventually end up in one of the neighboring countries. That is the problem, it is easy to just drive through and miss all the fun. If you are lucky, you will enjoy stops along your route in some of the idyllic towns along the Rhine, Saar, or Moselle rivers.
Germany will greet you with wine yards, river valleys, timber-framed houses, and old castles.
