It’s time to talk travel plans! August is here, and as I sit here in my parents’ living room I hear the rain. Hello autumn, I say, and start dreaming away. Actually we do have some travel plans that I’d like to share with you.
Our Travel Plans for Autumn 2018
Four countries in two weeks. That’s what we are planning for September. They are all familiar to us, and places we know that we will enjoy. Even though it’s fun to go to new places, I also love the feeling of returning. It’s always interesting to see how towns and cities have changed, evolved and developed.
Italy: Pisa, Florence, and Milan
We have definitely acquired a taste for Italy and we will keep exploring this country in September. When we found cheap tickets with Ryanair, we couldn’t resist the temptation of going there for a few days. We will fly to Pisa and return home from Bergamo.
It will be our fourth time in the country. Previously, we have visited Trieste, Bergamo with surroundings, and Rome. Now it’s time for us to discover Pisa, Florence, and Milan. Personally, I’m mostly looking forward to Florence.
Now, tell us: is there something we shouldn’t miss on this trip?
Budapest, Bratislava, and Prague
With two weeks of holidays, it’d be stupid not to spend them all on traveling. For quite some time now, we have both been talking about visiting Bratislava. We really do miss the city. The problem with Bratislava is that finding flights is a pain. At the moment, the tickets to Vienna from Stockholm are quite expensive. After some ifs and buts, we found a solution. We will fly to Budapest (as you might know, I’m in love with Hungary), from there we will continue to Slovakia by train. After a few days in the Slovak capital, we will again jump on the train in order to go to Prague for a couple of days.
Our plan is to meet friends, eat well, and show Little A all those places we like so much.
I’m so excited about our autumn travel plans. I have spent a big part of this summer working, so it will be great to have some proper holidays. And I know I will be visiting cities and countries that I love. Some of the things I’m looking forward to the most include: wine and cheese in Bratislava, Czech bookstores, and wandering in awe on the streets of Budapest. And Italy? Well, I’ve heard from many that Florence really is spectacular. And who knows, maybe I get to update my fall wardrobe in Milan.
As for the rest of the year. from October to December, we don’t have any travel plans yet. However, I’m quite sure we will come up with something interesting.
One’s destination is never a place, but always a new way of seeing things

Ahhhh. Travel. 2018 and 2019 are so long ago. 2020 travel is much simpler, but still can be good. I agree with your travel to Italy. We went to Pisa in 2019 fall and it was heaven. Stay well.
It feels like ages ago, hard to imagine that traveling would change so much so fast. Take care and thank you for stopping by 🙂
And your programs for 2021?
Our plans for 2021 all depends on how this ongoing pandemic develops. We hope to be able to explore more of the world, but in case that is not possible we still have several parts of Sweden to enjoy. 🙂
How about you?
