Denmark – The Flat Part of Scandinavia

Denmark is a part of the Nordic countries as well as a part of Scandinavia. Out of the three Scandinavian countries (Denmark, Norway, and Sweden), Denmark is the only country without mountains. The highest peak is Møllehøj at 170 meters. The country really has a lot of plains stretching all the way to the sea.

We have been to Denmark twice. First time to the capital Copenhagen in 2016 and the second time while driving through the region of Jutland with a few stops along the road in 2017. It is the country we associate with smørrebrød and Hans Christian Andersen.

Our neighbors in the south are luckily only a few hours of drive away, across the Oresund Bridge.
