It is soon time to go. We have been waiting for quite some time now to go on our trip – it’s been too long since we were abroad! For the last few days we have been visiting Jesper’s parents here in Vagnhärad and it is from here that we will start our trip down south. With a lot of food in our bellies and the car ready to go, we can now embark on the first leg of the trip – our drive down to Malmö.
From Vagnhärad: What Lies Ahead?
The clock is not slightly after 8 p.m. Ahead of us, we have a night of driving down south in Sweden. Our ferry from Malmö to Travemünde in Germany will leave at 10:00 tomorrow, so we will not be in any hurry to drive the 550 kilometers. I quite look forward to the ferry ride, it will be nice to get out of the car and maybe sleep for a while. There are some interesting places along the road. If we are lucky we will also have some energy to stop at some of those places and do some sightseeing. Or at least stretch our legs and grab a coffee.
Of course, we will have to stop quite often in order to take care of Little A’s needs. This is her first major trip abroad, so it’s quite exciting. She usually likes sitting in the car, so everything should be OK, though. This is also one of the reasons why we decided to stay in Vagnhärad for a couple of days. Quality time with the grandparents is obviously nice. However, we also wanted to make sure that she gets as much rest as possible.
Back to the interesting places in southern Sweden. Maybe there will be an early morning update from Helsingborg or Landskrona in the morning.
