July 2017: Reading List and Sunny Days

Hello August! You know what that means, don’t you? It’s time to summarize July 2017. It was a really nice month, in retrospective I’d say that we didn’t spend much time at home at all. I’ll remember July 2017 for the all great the family time and the sunny days My reading challenge is going really well – I have already read more than 52 books.

The Books I Read in July 2017

Today I cannot post photos of all the books that crossed my path because I used an e-reader. It’s really convenient and I might bring it on our trip to France. Anyhow, here’s the books I read in July 2017. Mostly mystery, again so no surprises there.

  • 🇸🇪 Vi är alla helt utom oss (original title in English: We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves) by Karen Joy Fowler. This novel is very special and worth reading. The title is fantastic, I think.
  • 🇸🇪 Att skriva : en hantverkares memoarer (original title in English: On Writing) by Stephen King. I absolutely loved this book and can understand why it’s become a classic.
  • 🇫🇮 Sherlock Holmesin seikkailut (original title in English: The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes) by Arthur Conan Doyle. Another classic. All mystery lovers should read this collection of short stories – it’s a great way to spend a rainy afternoon. Or do what I need, read it while you feed your baby.
  • 🇸🇪 Orten by Joakim Zander. This is yet another Scandinavian thriller. It works. It also felt like it was set in our neighborhood (or the one next door), and not in a good way.

I also tried listening to another audio book. My conclusion? There’s no point in paying for a service that I will not have time to use. It takes me about two weeks to listen to one book – if I’m lucky!

Help me, please! I need some tips and recommendations for good books. What should I read next?
