At the border with Germany and France lies the small town of Schengen. Considering its size, this is probably one of the European Union’s most significant places. Luxembourg has been playing a central role in the Europe that we see today.
But these lands are also filled with history. The castles and old towns are in plenty around the expanding financial center of Luxembourg City.
We visited Luxembourg during our road trip to France in 2017 and did especially like the old towns such as Vianden. The country might be small, but it requires a few more visits from us before we have seen enough.
