The Netherlands – The Land of the Tulips

You have probably come across the many photos of large fields filled with Tulips. We wouldn’t be surprised if these were taken in the Netherlands. A country that is famous for its flowers. The flowers even caused an economic collapse in the 17th century that was named Tulip mania.

The lowlands of Europe have been our destination once so far. That was a visit to Maastricht during our road trip to France in 2017. New visits might already be in the pipeline.
