Lithuania

Lithuania is the third of the Baltic countries, together with Estonia and Latvia. As with the other two, the country has a lot of history, both with independence and as a part of the Soviet Union. The Capital Vilnius is located just a short distance away from the countries second largest city – Kaunas. Well, nothing is really far away in Lithuania and a visit to the Vilnius or Kaunas can easily be combined with a visit to the Baltic Sea at Klaipėda.

We visited Vilnius in 2014 and have since looked for a new possibility to see the country. On our list of places we want to see are Kaunas, Trakai, and Klaipéda.
