Rovijokfossen, Nord-Troms – Exploring Norway
Rovijokfossen is a waterfall along the river Rovijokkelva in northern Norway. The location is just before the river runs into the larger River Skibotnelva. The waterfall lies in Storfjord Municipality, right between the village of Skibotn and the border with Finland. With a height of 28 meters, it is an impressive fall. There are plenty of viewpoints along its sides. To reach some of them, you need to do some climbing along small paths. The river has its origins at the lake Bajimus Rovvejávri, further up in the mountains.






How to Get to Rovijokfossen
- Flights: The largest airport in the region can be found in Tromsø to the north. From there you will find both domestic and international flights.
- Car: Rovijokfossen lies along Road E8, coming from the border with Finland at Kilpisjärvi and continuing north to Skibotn.
