Goodbye, Agadir! | Morocco 2025 (8/8)
Everything good does eventually come to an end. Our week-long adventure in Morocco gave us so many nice memories. Agadir was a very positive surprise and towns like Taroudant and Taghazout added flavor to the week. So did the food, sunshine, and the other excursions that we had the opportunity to enjoy. Waking up this last morning in Agadir brought with it a feeling that this might not be the last time we visit Morocco. If we return to Agadir? I’m sure that it will look a lot different in just a few years as the many new developments continue.
A Last Swim in the Pool
We made sure to get up in time so that we would have time for breakfast as well as a short last swim in the pool. It was a nice way to enjoy some sunshine before returning to the Swedish winter. It was about the same contrast as when we arrived in Morocco. When we left Sweden it was 11 degrees below freezing. After experiencing summer temperatures in Morocco for a week we were heading back to the cold temperatures of the north. All three of us wanted to savor the sunshine for every last minute.
Taking a Taxi to the Airport
Time for checkout did eventually come and we had to get going to the airport. We had already arranged a taxi with Rashid, a driver we met earlier in the week when we went to Taghazout. We like to continue to use the same driver multiple times in case everything clicks between us. Rashid was waiting for us outside our hotel and we were soon on our way to the airport.

Goodbye, Agadir! Goodbye, Morocco!
Once at the airport, everything went really smoothly. The initial security screening to enter the airport didn’t take long. Check-in took just a few minutes. Security was a bit confusing with what they wanted, but was much faster than many airports in Europe. Even the departure passport check was over quickly. The trip to Morocco included the two first stamps ever in Litte A’s passports.
We had a few hours to kill at the airport before our flight. Luckily we found a restaurant for lunch. The food did not compete with the lunches we had during the week. In any case, it was really good food for being at an airport. SAS Flight SK2505 eventually boarded and we had a 5-hour flight back home. It was a flight that we mostly spent sleeping. Both Little A and I have a tendency to fall asleep when we fly. Sometimes even before takeoff.
Luckily the flight went smoothly as well and we were back at Stockholm Arlanda Airport. The adventure had really come to an end and we not only had the drive back home left. All that was left to say was, Goodbye Agadir! Goodbye Morocco! Hope to see you again one day.
