Isn’t it enough to mention names such as Socrates, Aristotle, Plato, Pythagoras, Archimedes, and Hippocrates? Is it probably impossible to go through any western education without getting to know these names? Greece might still be living in its own past than in the present. With the country’s history, that can be easy to understand.
Sights such as the Acropolis and Acrocorinth, ruins of temples for Apollon, Athena, Poseidon, and Zeus, and the many agoras are must-sees. Add to that the many scenic islands scattered around its mainland.
We stayed in Athens for a month in 2018 and did during our time in Greece also make sure to visit the island of Kefalonia. But there is so much more to explore.
