Senegal was for us only a shortstop while visiting the Fathala Wildlife Reserve. It is within easy reach from the tourist resorts in the Gambia and a way to experience something new.
Senegal is the larger neighbor of the Gambia and has a varied geography with deserts in the northern inland and tropical savannah in the southern part of the country.
